Nexpa.com
began as an idea some 20 years ago while traveling and surfing on
the off beaten path to various locations throughout UNDISCOVERED MEXICO.
While visiting different parts of Mexico it came to my attention that
there were many extraordinarily talented, hardworking artisans some
of which are indigenous and some of non-indigenous origin living in
very secluded areas. The fine works of art that they would arduously
create were at that time seldom seen or appreciated by the outside
world. As it stands they are still quite rare.
Today
even with all of the modern advancements and conveniences that large
majorities of the world have to take advantage of those talented artisans
in most cases still barely survive on a day to day basis without being
recognized economically or else wise outside of the small villages
that they live in.
Traditionally in order for the artisans work to be sold, the artisan
or one or more of the artisans family has to travel to other
villages, some near and some far and in some instances they try their
luck in the larger cities. It is very common upon arriving at these
unfamiliar destinations they are given very small amounts of money
for their works of art, barely allowing them travel money back to
their homes and with just a few pesos in their pocket.
Where the idea comes into place
The mission
of Nexpa.com is to use the Internet as an access link between
you the international customer and the artisan living in some far
off destination. In doing this it is our commitment and responsibility
at Nexpa.com to bring you the finest and the most unique product
offerings from UNDISCOVERED MEXICO.
We are also committed to helping these small communities from which
the products we offer come from. In doing this it is our goal to show
the utmost dignity and respect to each areas customs, traditions and
cultures.
